Nutritional Therapy Packages

All of my packages include the core elements of personalised nutritional therapy: tailored, progressive plans that are fully researched, presented and agreed with you, based on your initial health assessment.

Depending on your needs, you’ll be supported with recipes, meal plans, useful food and health guides, practical lifestyle advice, and occasionally, supplement and lab testing guidance (only if needed and wanted), all designed to uncover and get to grips with the root causes of your symptoms. Together, we’ll use evidence-based strategies to support your health goals, ensuring your plan fits easily into your life, to get the results you want.

The key difference between the packages is the length of time we’ll work together. Some health concerns may require a longer, more gradual approach to see lasting improvements, especially if they’ve developed over months or years. Whether you need support for short-term goals or more complex, ongoing issues, I provide a supportive, collaborative approach to help you feel your best—naturally, sustainably, and enjoyably. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss which one may be right for you.

Nutritional Therapy FAQs

Here are some questions I get asked a lot, for your information. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

  • A nutritional therapist evaluates your individual health needs, lifestyle, and goals to create personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans. Analysing your diet, symptoms, and lifestyle factors helps to identify potential sub-optimal nutrients and recommend nutritional changes and sometimes testing and supplementation to improve and optimise overall health and well-being. It’s important to be a BANT and CNHC registered nutritional therapist, as they demand the highest qualifications, insurance and ongoing training in the nutrition and lifestyle field, so I can offer optimal support to my clients.

  • While both professionals focus on nutrition, a dietitian typically works in clinical settings like hospitals and follows standardised guidelines to treat (predominantly acute) medical conditions. Nutritional therapists, on the other hand, whilst trained in these general, standardised NHS/public health guidelines, adopt a holistic and individualised approach, focusing on the root causes of health concerns and addressing them with up to date, scientifically evidenced, tailored nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.

  • No, a referral is usually not required. However, if you have specific medical conditions, it is advised that you inform your healthcare provider about your choice to work with me, to ensure coordinated care.

  • Yes, I can support a range of conditions, including digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, weight management, and more. However, I am not a substitute for a medical doctor and do not diagnose or treat diseases. If you’re working with doctors, physical therapists, or other specialists, I can coordinate with them to ensure a well-rounded approach to support your health goals.

If any symptom presents itself during our consultations together that is deemed advisable for you to discuss with your doctor, I will recommend you do so.

  • We chat about all of this first; you can book a free call (this can be a phone call or online virtual meeting) with me beforehand to decide if you want to work with me and what the best package might be.

If you decide a package is going to be good for you, I’ll send you an invitation to book. Once booked in, you’ll receive my personally designed health assessment to complete prior to our first meeting. This allows me to consider your full health history, applying my knowledge as to what may be the best possible ways to approach your goals. This takes me a lot of time behind the scenes, applying functional medical tools, methods and research, as I am completely invested in you being successful. When we meet, we review how you’re doing, discuss the options and agree together what you can do to keep moving things forward.

Occasionally I do offer alternative, tailored solutions to my standard packages, but this is always discussed and agreed first, based on your personal situation.

  • Once we have had an initial chat or discussion via email, I will then send you a booking link via Practice Better, my practice management system.

This can be downloaded as an app which you will then be able to log in and see your bookings and all the information we discuss in consultation. All information is stored securely and is fully GDPR compliant.

  • Online payment is made through my practice management system, Practice Better using a secured payment provider.

Packages may be paid for in full in advance or in instalments; this is available to you as an option when you log into Practice Better.

  • Meeting regularly helps to focus on, establish and maintain any new habits for long lasting, sustainable change and gives you plenty of opportunity to digest and discuss anything you need to.

Life happens! Any upcoming holidays can be factored into the schedule and the strategies we agree together can be adjusted for unexpected events as needed, to support you achieving your goals.

  • No! I aim to create a plan that is both sustainable and enjoyable, working within your preferences and lifestyle. The goal is to find a balanced approach to nutrition that supports your health and is realistic to maintain long-term.

  • I am pro-choice. I have years of experience in creating and curating meal plans for different dietary preferences. I work with you to adapt any strategies appropriately.

I help you navigate and find suitable food choices to ensure you meet your nutritional needs without triggering any adverse reactions.

  • I can help you with meal planning, offer guidance on creating balanced meals, and provide tips for grocery shopping to make healthy eating more convenient and enjoyable, whatever your current food preparation ability.

  • Supplements may be recommended if specific needs are identified that aren’t fully addressed through diet alone. However, I prioritise dietary sources and only suggest supplements when truly beneficial and evidence based.

Just like you, not all supplements are made the same. The dosage matters, but also the quality of your supplement is important; I work to establish the best quality supplements for you, within your budget range.

It is always your choice to take up any recommendations, which are based on scientific evidence that is not driven by big pharmaceutical or other businesses looking to promote an extension of symptom suppression or marketing of their own products.

Here are some of the reasons I may recommend a supplement:

    • You are unique; your body will respond to nutrient intake, digestion, absorption and the way it responds to combinations of nutrients in different ways to anyone else. Supplementation may support your individual needs at different life points.

    • Modern farming methods and food processing have contributed to our soil and food becoming increasingly depleted of nutrients (even in organic foods).

    • Eating a predominantly ‘Western diet’ may affect nutrient intake, digestion and absorption.

    • Certain health conditions may be supported by therapeutic levels of nutrients over a short-term period, that may not be obtained by food alone. Lab and GP tests can establish existing levels to inform my recommendations.

  • It is always your choice to do so. I will always take a food and lifestyle approach first.

In some cases, (free) GP tests can be undertaken to establish key health markers. In other cases, functional medical lab tests may assist in getting to the root cause of symptoms faster, allowing for an earlier and more targeted protocol. I will only recommend tests where I think they will support your health goals appropriately.

Full information on pricing is given to enable your choice whether to go ahead with the tests. Paying for and taking the tests is your responsibility.

I support you in where and how to order and will analyse and report on any tests, in easily understandable wording.

  • I use the latest research and evidence-based practices to inform my recommendations. I am regulated by BANT and CNHC and undertake continued professional development and stay updated on nutritional science to ensure guidance that is both safe and effective.

  • Book a free call with me to discuss any other questions you may have, with no obligation to go any further.
